Abdulrahman Bin Mutrib is the CTO of both Qiddiya Investment Company and Saudi Entertainment Ventures (SEVEN), as well as co-founder and Chairman of Merak Capital. Prior to his current roles, he was EVP and CTO for Seera Group (formerly Altayyar Group), and a board member and co-founder of numerous tech startups in Saudi Arabia. He was also part of the founding team at Etihad Atheeb Telecom Co. (GO Telecom), where he also served as Executive Board Member. 

Bin Mutrib holds a BA from the American University in Washington, DC, in Computer Information Systems.

Othman Alhokail

Othman Alhokail is a Founding Partner, Vice Chairman, and Shareholder of Merak Capital.

 Alhokail built his 18 years of technology and investment experience working with numerous public and private stakeholders. He is the founder and director of KCC, a holding group focused on technology contracting and trading for government and semi-government clients in the Kingdom.

 Moreover, Alhokail serves on several boards such as MasterWorks, the leader in data management and digitization, Advanced Communication and Electronics Systems (ACES), the digital infrastructure neutral host, and BWATECH, the open banking company. 

Previously, Alhokail led Business Development for EY and Thomson Reuters in Saudi Arabia.

Alhokail holds a BA in Finance from King Saud University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.

Abdullah Altamami

Abdullah Altamami is a Founder and CEO of Merak Capital, a CMA-licensed
multi-strategy investment firm specializing in Private Equity, Venture Capital,
and Private Credit. With more than 17 years of experience across investments
and technology, he has led and structured deals with businesses across
Saudi Arabia, the wider MENA region, and international markets.

Under his leadership, Merak Capital has made several landmark investments,
including Jisr, a new age platform for growing businesses to scale HR
processes, SHIFT, where Merak invested SAR 310 million to support its
expansion in mobility services across B2B and B2C segments, and Arsann, a
leading Saudi provider of end-to-end smart parking solutions.

His efforts align closely with Saudi Vision 2030 and are supported by a broad
network of strategic partnerships. These include collaborations with key
government entities such as the Cultural Development Fund to launch the first private equity fund that focuses on the fashion sector with a size of SAR 300 million, as well as the National Development Fund, and the Social Development Bank to establish the SAR 306 million Merak Gaming Fund.

Building on the momentum of Merak Gaming Fund, Abdullah led the launch of Exel by Merak accelerator to support early-stage studios, developers, and gaming technology startups. These initiatives have enabled the creation of more than 30 commercially viable games, while providing founders with capital, mentorship, infrastructure, and global market access. They are further strengthened by strategic alliances with Microsoft, AWS, Savvy Games Group, and the Saudi Esports Federation, collectively aimed at advancing the gaming and esports ecosystem across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region.

Abdullah also serves on several boards, including Qoyod, (SaaS accounting),
Arib (digital financing brokerage), and Enjaz, a Saudi Central Bank (SAMA)
licensed payment services provider. Previously, he co-founded HyperPay in
2014, driving its business development and strategy to become one of the
MENA region’s fastest-growing payment service providers, later serving as
Board Member and Chairman.

Earlier in his career, Abdullah founded iNet Fund, a corporate venture capital
fund investing in more than 12 startups across Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Jordan.
including success stories such as Magnitt, BitOasis, and TPS. He also held roles
at Jadwa Investment, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management in Miami, and Cisco
Capital (part of Cisco Systems), where he worked on credit underwriting
across South America.

Altamami holds a Master’s in Management of Technology and a Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Miami. He is certified with CME-1, CME-4, and CME-5 qualifications.

Amr Abdulaziz Aljallal

Amr Abdulaziz AlJallal is a Partner and Board Member at Merak Capital. With over 20 years of experience, he has acquired a wealth of banking, investments, and leadership knowledge. Currently, he is the Managing Director & CEO of Namara – The Family Office of Dr. Sulaiman AlHabib. Moreover, he serves on several public and private boards, including Marafiq and Nadec. Previously, AlJallal held several leadership positions at Jadwa Investment, Saudi Fransi Capital, and the Capital Market Authority.

AlJallal holds an MBA from the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University, and a BS in Management Information Systems from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

Basel Alfraihi

Currently, Basil is a Senior VP in the Finance Division in the
Tax department of the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

He holds a leadership position overseeing the Tax and Zakat
function pertaining to portfolio companies and
managing the relationship with ZATCA.

In his current role,
Basel has been instrumental in the creation and development of the Companies Governance
Department at PIF.
