Abdulrahman Althaydi is the Vice President of Capital Formation at Merak Capital, where he leads the firm’s fundraising, investor relations, and product development initiatives across private equity, venture capital, and private credit.
He plays a central role in shaping Merak’s capital strategy, developing institutional-grade offerings, and building long-term partnerships with local and international investors.
At Merak, Abdulrahman has been instrumental in expanding the firm’s investor base, establishing advisory capabilities, and driving new fund development in alignment with Merak’s vision of becoming a local leader with global standards. His leadership combines strategic execution with an investor-oriented approach that bridges product innovation and capital market insight.
Prior to joining Merak Capital, Abdulrahman served as a Private Allocator at The Saudi National Bank (SNB), where he managed a diversified proprietary investment portfolio across private equity, private credit, real assets, and co-investments. His experience at SNB involved fund selection, direct deal evaluation, and portfolio construction, giving him a deep understanding of both GP and LP perspectives.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Rowan University and a Diploma in Financing and Banking Management from the Institute of Banking in Riyadh
