Omar Alireza is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in private debt, fund management, and corporate finance. He currently serves as Vice President of Private Credit at Merak Capital, where he focuses on transaction execution, investment strategy, and portfolio management.
Prior to joining Merak Capital, Omar led investment strategy and transaction execution at Ejada Capital in Riyadh and served as a Fund Advisor at Alteia Fund Management, where he was involved in private credit and structured finance mandates.
Omar specializes in private credit and capital markets, with a proven track record in fundraising, portfolio development, and delivering strategic financial solutions across emerging markets.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts (with Honours) in Accounting and Finance from the University of Exeter, a Graduate Diploma in Law from BPP University, and an LPC with MSc in Law, Business and Management from the University of Law.
He also holds certifications in CME 1, CME 4 (ICWIM), CME 5, and is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
