Basel Alfraihi is an Independent Board member and Audit Committee Chairman at Merak Capital.

Currently, Basil is a Senior VP in the Finance Division in the Tax department of the Public Investment Fund (PIF).

He holds a leadership position overseeing the Tax and Zakat function pertaining to portfolio companies and managing the relationship with ZATCA.

In his current role, Basel has been instrumental in the creation and development of the Companies Governance Department at PIF.
