Vignesh Shanker is Principal, Real Assets at Merak Capital, where he leads the origination, evaluation, and execution of real assets transactions across Saudi Arabia and the wider GCC.

He brings more than sixteen years of investment experience across real assets, private equity, fixed income, and corporate finance, with deal exposure across the GCC, India, and the United Kingdom.

Prior to Merak Capital, Vignesh was Head of Global Real Estate at Bank Muscat, Oman's largest bank, where he oversaw the institution's real estate portfolio and closed transactions of approximately USD 500 million across retail, hospitality, commercial, and alternative assets.

Earlier at Bank Muscat, he served as Fund Manager, with oversight of a USD 1 billion portfolio across private equity, real estate, fixed income, and structured debt.Earlier in his career, he held investment roles at TVS Capital Funds and Aditya Birla Private Equity in India.
